The animals always pay the price
They always pay the price for our stupidity, whether it is the birds, or dolphins from an oil spill, or cats and dogs slaughtered in gas chambers because their ignorant owners didn't bother to spay or neuter their pets.

I am so sad for the animals.

Those left in the final throes of Mother Nature's vengence will be doing the praying and singing but, too late!

8. The Earth sings everyday.
All you have to do to hear the song is turn off the TV, go outside, and sit in the grass.

"I can hear the Bullfrog calling me,"

5. people are animals too
Eventually all these types of disasters affect the human race. Whether you have sympathy for the local wildlife immediately affected, or down the road a couple of years in the increased cost of certain items or the loss of vacation/holiday spots. Of course some of us are immediately impacted with the tragedy while another group just worries about how it will affect them in the pocketbook. Too bad for the millions of animals damaged because of our greed, how much is this going to cost me?

6. Incalculable
Poisoning the planets water, air, soil will kill us all eventually. I've never heard so many cancer diagnosis among friends and acquaintances. My GP who is in her late 30's was diagnosed with Stage IV non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. The nasty Hodgkin's. Just to make things 'a little more interesting', as she puts it - she's 3 months pregnant. My heart breaks for her. I was diagnosed with cancer last year.

My own personal unscientific belief is that it's the chemicals and poisons in the water and our food.

11. I don't watch shows on animals unless they are sweet because I
can't take it anymore. I am so sensitized to animal suffering that I get literally sick to death.
