The email that basically says "You need us, we don't need you" to everyday people.

Nicole Gelinas, a member of the conservative Manhattan Institute, has replied to that letter.

We've bailed them out, we've given them corporate welfare, we've given them deregulations, and we crowned them with "too big to fail".

They return the favor by acting persecuted when reforms and new oversights are proposed.

Let's all hope that Wall Street really does go through with their plan to "go Galt"; a week into it, the US would have entered into a golden age without their interference.

2. Just a thought on "conservatives".....
Edited on Sat May-01-10 02:34 PM by GreenTea
"Conservatives"...are republicans. - I prefer using the word republican.

But there is no difference really is there? ALL "conservatives vote republican and support republican ideology.

Conservatives are by definition set in their ways, intolerant to any social change or progressive political ideas, right-wing, bourgeois elitist, regressive, materialistic .

This also describes a republican perfectly, since there really is no difference. - I'm guessing the republicans prefer to be called conservative or GOP even though they are the same exact slimy republicans.

I realize the corporate media chooses to use the words (or acronym) Conservative, the right, or GOP instead, since republicans have a very well deserved bad name. Something since they worked so long at being the cold-hearted racist, greedy lying assholes that the conservative, the right, GOP and republicans truly are.
