Who *doesn't* believe in evolution..
That was the telling moment of the entire cherade, when McCain said he believed in evolution, then the moderator asked who *doesn't* believe in evolution and half a dozen hands popped up.

They should have followed that one by asking "Who believes that the world is only 12,000 years old?.

Faith is great, but science should have it's place too.

1. I thought that three hands went up. I saw their names, last night.
Tancredo was one.

2. Only 3?
I admit, the moment was fleeting, but I really thought there were more than three hands that went up. I would really like to know which of the idiots had their hands up.

Cheers

10. Then that's who they should nominate.
I'm now supporting Brownback-Tancredo. Stop this whole liberty and progress thing before it gets out of hand!

3. Who's ever been to a zoo?
I don't know how any human being can visit an exhibit of the Great Apes and not simply know that we are all connected, cousins.

13. These guys already live in a zoo, or at least should be sent
back to the treetops of the Rainforest. They have not yet evolved enough to realize that questions are what differentiate us from said cousins.

15. The apes throw shit at people ...
I got some cousins like that.
QED.

Some people are evolved from apes. Others just have less hair.

6. I think there were 3 hands that didn't go up -- the three who believe in creationism
And I think you're right that Tancredo was one of those.

9. Thats a foolish suggestion..
and should only be taken up if he wants to be ignorant to the realities of the world as well as the universe.

It seems his parents are lost in fantasy land, might be good people, but fools nontheless.

12. It was when he was younger.
And he ignored them, like the good gay Christian boy he was.

They've come a long way, fwiw. They have more of a problem with their daughter converting to Baptist than their son being gay.

14. Cheers to him then!
If he has not read "The Blind Watchmaker" I highly recommed it. Evolution could not have been explained any clearer then it is in that book, its brilliant.

8. Evolution is a FACT based on REAL evidence....
...If someone is running for office an can not come to terms with REALITY, they should not be running for office.

'Faith' and 'Fact' are two completely different things which can not exist together.

'faith' should be secondary and Reality 'Primary'.

11. Faith, religion and reality..
Faith and reality can coincide nicely, it's religion which often gets in the way.
