The President's remark about the importance of a free press was met with near silence. What are the chances that anyone in his audience cares that they've made a mockery of journalism? Helen Thomas was on the dais. I'm not sure that there were any other journalists in the room. Here's hoping that the kids who won the scholarships will help to elevate the standards.
