I remember about 15 years agon when a friend and I began stirring up trouble around here doing some environmental activism and we had occasion to run into a Dallas TV station reporter like this woman from focks nooze in the video linked below. An oil filter recycling plant nearby had caught on fire and the two of us went down there to investigate whether or not oil-tainted water from the fire suppression effort was draining into a nearby creek. The reporter tried so hard to get us to say something controversial. We simply told her that so far we hadn't found anything to be concerned about and would she please excuse us as, and I quote my friend verbatum, "We need to get back to work. We don't have time for news whores right now. Is that controversial enough for your six o'clock news?" And with her jaw firmly in the dirt, we returned to our work, snickering all the way to the creek.
