From Napolitano to Brewer... what a lesson in how easy it is to whip up bigotry and blind hatred

just by the placement of a new figurehead in the statehouse with a new policy focus and new speeches that riles up the masses that are wanting to blame "different" people for their problems.

It amazes me that someone as rational as Janet Napolitano was their governor, and just like that - they've slipped down into the den of hot & sweaty fascism in the desert southwest!

History is a great lesson book into how relatively "good natured" citizens can easily be organized into hatred by a "leader" telling them that something needs done to protect their way of life. We went from the peacefulness of Jimmy Carter to the threatening tone of Ronnie Raygun - all because the actor was adored blindly (I couldn't stand him as a teen - so fake!), and then from the relatively respected Clinton presidency (outside of Bill's problem) to the haphazard & warmongering Bush Oval Office ran by Rove & Cheney. The tone of the country shifted in each case noticeably.

I believe the racism that dogs so many of these people's minds on a daily basis was triggered into high gear when Barack became president, and those thoughts galvanized around local, state & media leaders who have been speaking to that hatred and bringing it out in people through code words and calls to stand up and "not take it anymore, to protect your way of living!"

What an alternative striking tone we heard from President Obama in Michigan, compared to the racist rhetoric you hear from nearly all the GOP media, and a decent amount of their political leaders - especially those residing in 'red' states (or whatever state the Palin Family Circus is invading this week).

We just need to keep shoving the facts back in these people's faces when they whine about the state of things today and ask where they were when B*sh did little to solve this crisis for 8 years and somehow spent our country nearly 10 trillion dollars into debt - while solving nothing but how to stick billions into his backer's accounts!

Fools.

And I turned on the radio. There's not a decent music station around here, except for the University student station, and it's extremely low power. And I wasn't in the mood for the Prairie Home Companion. And I don't really listen to ESPN radio, except during college football season. So I landed on the local talk station, that airs nothing but right-wing idiocy 24-7. And I heard Michael "Savage" Wiener touting Jan Brewer for president. He declared that she would be even a better president than Sarah Palin.

3. I'm sure a sound of laughter...
was emitted from your car!

That's some funny sh*t! Oh yeah "Savage", she sounds so brilliant! What is it with these asshats always claiming each new fool that mumbles some sh*t becomes "presidential" material. Just a while ago it was Scott Brown! Now Brewer!

I like ESPN radio for baseball season, so I'm happy right now, otherwise I don't listen, and I wonder what station has PH Companion here, because I like that when I stumble upon it.

Well, hey, thanks for the laugh, Sy!

President Brewer! Bwahahaha Just like Palin, she'll never go any higher and gains notoriety for being controversial, not for intelligently solving anything.

Here's the meanie now!
