Can anyone imagine 1 mile deep underwater?
Maybe we should have the technology in place to deal with something like this before we start drilling?

2. The technology exists and costs $500,000
If the law required redundant systems, it'd be $1,000,000 per well.

I'd call that a million bucks per well that would be well spent.

I think all future leases for any company should be put on hold until the company applying for the new lease retrofits all of their existing wells.
