Crist says he's open to supporting a Democrat for Senate majority leader
http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/95487-crist-open-to-supporting-democrat-for-senates-majority-leader

Florida Gov. Charlie Crist (I) would not say Sunday which party he'd caucus with if elected to the Senate.

Crist, who left the Republican Party this week to pursue an independent bid for the state's open Senate seat, said he would be open to voting for a Democrat as majority leader.

"I'll caucus with the people of Florida," Crist said during an appearance on NBC's "Meet the Press."

(snip)
But the centrist governor said he might end up caucusing with neither party, unlike the Senate's two current independents, Sens. Joe Lieberman (Conn.) and Bernie Sanders (Vt.), both of whom caucus with Democrats.

"I might not vote for either one," Crist said of which party's member he might support as majority leader. "I'm going to vote for who I think is going to be best for the people of Florida. If is happens to be a Democrat, so be it. If it happens to be a Republican, so be it."

1. This would drive voters cray, but the right answer is that he would side with the majority
If he purports to serve the people of Florida than caucusing with whichever party is in the majority maximizes his committee influence.

4. He should caucus with the other Independant.
independants are large enough in number to sway an election. They should have there own party and everything that goes along with it in the senate and the house.

5. "I might not vote for either one," Crist said
It's gonna be awful cold and lonely not being on either side, on any committees or holding any kind of power.

More likely he'll go with who ever is in the majority. That would be smarter.

8. You are joking, right?
"this guy is up for sale to the highest bidder"

And this makes him stand out from the other 99 Senators how?
