Gulf oil spill: Republicans in full reverse spin gear
While not as disgusting as the oil ruining the Gulf ecosystem what I've seen of my GOP friends lately is beyond perverse. Worse than human/animal sex.

Here's what I'm hearing in response to Dick Cheney's efforts to deregulate and later cause the spill.

"Clinton did it". "Clinton started the deregulation". "Clinton did it"

Next:

"Obama did it. Obama is the president responsible . Obama did it"

These sick, deprave, repukes... Sick twisted deprave FILTHY repukes.

Did I say "Filthy"? Well yes I did. Suggest we all refer to the evil bastards this way.

I want to get even. At least at ballot box though it isn't clear to me how to even salvage that come November. Voters respond to whatever sound bite and slogan.

There was no "clean up" at Valdez. Will be none in the Gulf. all is lost now. Only time can turn things around. perhaps after humans are removed from the equation.

Maybe we'll get another chance though. Some of us don't deserve forgiveness, but some do.

1. Real culprits are greedy corporatists who ignore risk in a business venture knowing their puppets
in government will make We the People pay for most of the loss if the venture fails.

That happened with real estate, banks, businesses, and now offshore oil wells.

2. Do you think they KNOW they are spinning and lying or are they just
mindless robots repeating what their masters tell them to?

Sometimes I wonder.

Most of the right-wingers I know do not seem capable of thinking independently or rationally.

I see examples of this not only in terms of their politics, but if you look at their lives, they stay with abusive partners, have addiction problems, get fired from one job after another and never learn from their mistakes, think their abusive parents were above blame and anyway "we don't air our dirty laundry in public, we honor our parents who raped us instead..."

3. I was best buddies with a winger ten years ago
Eventually his Limbaugh ideas destroyed his ability to get along with me.

And yes he was an abused child. Felt comfortable being talked down to as a kid. This is what he became as an adult.

A real waste of a mind. Plus I miss his friendship. he had his liver removed and a transplant done.Since then he doesn't call.

"Glad the operation worked Rick. When are you gonna get that brain transplant"?

Yeah he was a good friend but his extremist Conservative worldview wouldn't compromise his friendship with me.
