Unemployment Benefits and the Oil Spill
Will the oil spill throw enough of the gulf states into such a rapid decline in employment that it will force an extension of unemployment benefits? Just wondering.

1. "Let them eat cake"
is the phrase for our Congressional members.

Not all but the majority of them don't seem to give a flip.

5. I think they may have to re-think unemployment with the oil crisis....

.. the impact on fishermen and workers in the Gulf is going to be devastating. We are talking about MILLIONS of newly unemployed.

Although, I think the newly unemployed can still go to Tier 1 already in place and start (but is the funding still available for Tier 1)?

The real people in trouble are the ones who have exhausted their benefits. For them, a Tier 5 and even Tier 6 is needed. Unemployment and SS money is the only thing circulating in the economy.

Goldman Sachs and the Hedge Fund Vampires at Goldman Sachs have sucked every penny out of circulation, and are currently using this cash flow to attack the Euro via Greece. Once they have destroyed Greece and put new laws into place to make the workers pay for it all.. they will move on to Portugal, Italy, Spain, etc., and of course the United States. (The old story.. privatize the profits and socialze the debt)

Obama should have moved immediately to make Derivatives illegal.. by taxing them to death or enforcing the laws already on the books, and make the Hedge Funds trade these Derivative On-The-Books.. not in secret behind closed doors as is currently done. It may already be too late.. Rome has been burning for a long while. These Derivatives used as weapons of mass destruction, will destroy not only the United States, but the world economy.

The politicians can pretend that everything is OK.. but from July to November TSHWHTF (the shit will hit the fan).. the economy will seize up like a rusty wheel.. and the Repukes don't want that going into the November elections.
