How very close in time we are. |
|
In the very same month in which Harriet Tubman died, Rosa Parks was born.
I learned this just now while watching "America, the story of Us" on the History Channel.
That startles me when it is said so starkly.

2. Darn...I forgot that was on,but I think it's being recorded...anyway... |

I was going to get all mystical and stuff and say geez, wouldn't it be something if the soul of Harriet Tubman somehow passed into the about-to-be-born body of Rosa Parks, but I discovered (Google is my friend) that Rosa Parks actually was born a month before Harriet Tubman died.
Oh well.
It would have been pretty neat to think about....

3. I watched it and thought it was very good. |

Must be a series as it's on again next Sunday for an hour. The Harriet/Rosa tie in was interesting, the fight went on for both. Also didn't know the textile women went on strike....good for them!!

4. Yeah, that strike was a surprise to us, too. |

Yes, it is a series. There was an excellent two hour opener last week. No doubt it is still being rerun if you wanna record it,
