BP Announces Revolutionary Environmental Remediation Project
Spokesman Anne Ointment said that BP is commited to taking the environmental remediation well beyond simply returning earth's environment to conditions existing before their energy projects, but to a much longer term concept.

"People need to realize that when we are talking about 'fossil fuels' we are talking about the remains of  life on this planet from an earlier geologic epoch.   We understand perhaps better than most, that the very living matter of these organisms is trapped deep in the earth in porous domes of sedimentary rock under non-porous overlayers.  By drilling into these deposits and allowing them to escape under their own pressure, we are in a very real sense liberating and restoring to the surface of the earth the essence of these creatures of which we are the living biological legacy. It's far beyond any remediation project ever considered, in terms of coming to grips with how we define remediation itself."

1. This wouldn't surprise me if it came from a BP mouthpiece.
Nice.

5. I have often thought that. Oil might be like glue holding things together.
