CNN: NYPD blows open "gun locker" from Times Sq car-bomb

The gun locker was one of many items found in the rear of the Pathfinder after a T-shirt vendor alerted a nearby police officer to smoke coming out of the vehicle.

I don't think I'm revealing anything Google wouldn't, but it's an old-school, high-country Central Asia bomb. Traditionally, you fill the thing with some kind of explosive....I don't see why a stack of M-80s wouldn't work. Top it off with a blasting cap (or similar) and seal it up. Turn it on or set a timer with a watch or an old clock and let the pressure build, put it next to something incendiary and run like hell.

Pressure cookers are ubiquitous above 8,000 feet, but in New York?
