Got crossways with a Sarah Palin fan before breakfast.

That is no way to start the day.

When I said I thought i was going to miss the Sarah Palin thing he said. "You must be one of those Liberals." With the word Liberal all stretched out.

And I said, Yes, I am. And I am very liberal.

And he said, "You probably like that Obama, too."

And I said, "Yes. I do like Obama."

And then started in on this thing agout how we are going to lose all of our rights.

And I told him it was my right to believe whatever I wanted. And then I ignored him. I refuse to get into political arguments with people who are Jaw droppingly stupid.

What "rights" are they talking about? What rights are they afraid of losing? I don't get it.

I find the simple tactic of asking questions is good enough to befuddle them. For example; What rights? you might have said. How are we losing them? More importantly are you conservative? Why?

There are so many that come in to eat where I do in the morning. Some are Bible guys who all come in to have breakfast with each other. Others are just people at large.

One man that come in really believes Obama is the antichrist - and he just goes crazy if you even mention the subject.

We are so outnumbered here in the Bible Belt. And that stuff is so deeply entrenched that its impossible to even have a conversation. People think you are the devil trying to tempt them into heretical thinking.

It's crazy.

No one could ever take the guns away. There must be millions of them out there.

The guy who thinks Obama is the antichrist actually verbally attacked a woman who was wearing an Obama T-shirt. Just got in her face and starting screaming obscenities at here. She finally turned around and threw her drink in his face.

And ran off screaming that he had been assaulted and to call the police.
