American Family Association: Muslims Can Stay In The U.S. If They Accept Christ

http://mediamattersaction.org/blog/201004120008

Last week, we highlighted the bigoted words of Bryan Fischer, the American Family Association's Director of Issues Analysis, who called for the deportation Muslim-Americans. In a post today, Fischer clarifies his previous remarks, writing, "of course, most Muslims in the U.S. are not actively looking to do us harm. They're not the ones we have to worry about." But the conciliatory tone and nuanced analysis stops there, and Fischer, who has in the past advocated for a Canaanite-like cleansing of Muslims, brings even more shame to the American Family Association.

He writes:

If we separate ourselves for a moment from the rampant and mindless political correctness and multiculturalism which controls the thinking of the elites, and the ordinary Americans who allow the elite to do their thinking for them, it is obviously and plainly nuts to throw out the welcome mat to those who have a religious obligation to obliterate us. It is beyond comprehension that we have become so brain-addled that we regard it a positive virtue to blindly embrace our own destroyers.

Muslims who have become naturalized citizens, of course, would need to commit an act of treason to forfeit their citizenship and become eligible for repatriation. Based on the Constitution's definition of treason in Article III Section 3 <"adhering to (the) Enemies (of the United States), (or) giving them Aid and Comfort"> treasonous acts are likely committed on virtually a weekly basis here in the U.S. in many mosques and Islamic organizations.

-snip-

Many Muslims are on our shores on student visas and such and have not yet become citizens. We must politely decline their request for naturalization (becoming an American citizen is a privilege, not a right) and use the money we would otherwise spend on their welfare, their education, their medical care and their incarceration to graciously assist them in returning to their countries of origin.

Those who are willing to convert to Christianity and renounce Islam, Allah, Mohammed and the Koran may be welcomed, for they can become not just good Christians but true Americans.
-------------------------

someone please tie Bryan to his kitchen chair and never let him leave his house again.
he is too religiously crazy to be let out in public.

The AFA can stay if they renounce stupidity and bigotry.

Edit to add.

Maybe the AFA should accept Christ because they certainly aren't following the teachings of Jesus in their actions.

3. This stuff makes my head hurt...........
This is bigotry. The man is a throwback to some other time and place.

I had hoped that, as a species, we were beyond this.

5. Do these idiots support people who protest 'government taking over lives?'
When I read about these un-American zealots, I wonder just what kind of gift of prophecy Robert Heinlein had.

8. Uh, can we kick the AFA out, instead?
My Muslim neighbors and coworkers have been indistinguishable from garden variety Methodists, good people who give the world their best while winking at the sillier and more damaging religious rules.

The AFA types are all sanctimonious pains in the ass who feel compelled to take their god's place and send me to hell.

I want to keep the Muslims. The AFA types have got to go.

9. Awesome! We can go after the Jews next!
Convert or be expelled! Just like the 15th century. Then we can go after the other brown people religions like Hinduism and Buddhism! And nonbelievers. We cannot allow Satan worshippers to stay if Muslims and Jews are being expelled. When all that's done, we can start to work on Catholics.

By the way, Jesus hates labor unions almost as much as he hates teh gay.

:wtf:

Hang on while I wipe my ass with the Constitution.

19. But how do you know they really did convert Bryan!?
I mean, they could just be PRETENDING to be Christian in order to get closer and be marked off the 'suspect list'. Shouldn't we require them to wear a shirt that at least says, 'I said I love Jesus, but I still might be a Muslim so approach with caution'? Don't trust anyone Bryan, better yet just stay home and never leave it is too dangerous a world out there and you are safer at home on the lazyboy.

Who next? These extremists have really been emboldened by the GOP and their mouthpieces. Yes, I hold the RW totally responsible for this and all bigotry being trumpeted now.

23. When driving through right wing Oklahoma all I could get on the radio were religious fanatics...
Every radio channel I switched to had religious fanatics spreading fear, hatred and lies. I heard a story about a guy who slept with a woman and when he woke up she was gone but the message "You now have AIDS" was written in lipstick on the mirror. It's a common scare tactic used by fundamentalist religious nuts but the story isn't even true. But right wing Christians rarely let truth get in the way of their evil agendas. Urban Legends has debunked the above story, but religious fanatics keep repeating it. (http://urbanlegends.about.com/od/crime/a/world_of_aids.htm)

Another story from Oklahoma radio was about a Muslim who finally converted to Christianity. It was probably fake too.

I feel sorry for people who live in Oklahoma and are exposed to the constant fear, hatred, lies and intolerance from right wing Christians. And you can be sure that if given the chance religious fanatics would turn our country into a theocracy and impose all of their religious intolerance on everyone. People would have to adhere to their religious laws, like stoning women who are on their periods, condemning people for eating shellfish, and all the other insane crap in the Bible. I bet if the US became a theocracy the religious laws would be even harsher and more inhuman than the laws in Muslim controlled countries.

I believe one of the biggest threats to our country is religious extremism from right wing Christians.

28. I wonder if this is the group my brother joined, the rhetoric is the same, only he'd like it global
He wants state and federal laws banning Islam as a religion, and if they won't convert, even if American's, they need to leave in some manner... Perhaps he's even farther right than this group? Does this group claim to be Christian, because apparently he's also become a Christian... go figure...
