Regulate, regulate, regulate!
Wall Street Meltdown, Coal Mine Disaster, Gulf Oil Spill. All caused by lack of safety measures. Seriously, does anyone still believe industries can/will regulate themselves when billions of dollars in profits are at stake and they know the American people will just bail them out if something goes wrong? In the immortal words of George W. Bush-- "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me, can't get fooled again!"

3. Proof of what I've been telling my Republican relatives - Ronald Reagan destroyed America.
Okay, that's hyperbole, but he did some serious damage to the country, the economy and the environment.

5. Close that barn door now that the horse has escaped.
The BP disaster is one of those mega enviro disasters that regulation should have prevented -- and that no amount of regulation can ameliorate. Sure, we need the regulation to prevent further such disasters; but the destruction from this one is going to be major.
