Poll question: Do you thinks it's possible Halliburton/BP sabotaged Deepwater Horizon on purpose?
I'm only asking if you thinks it's possible. Clearly they are trying to attach this disaster to Obama. Same geographical area as Katrina and the timing after Obama came out in favor of offshore oil drilling just seems a little too coincidental. I seriously would not put it past them in an effort to tank an Obama 2012 reelection. These are the most powerful people in the world. Just throwing this out there to see if it's crossed anybody else's mind.

1. Is it possible? Sure.
It's also possible that it was Polish ninjas getting revenge on the Mermen for causing that airplane crash with their earthquake machine.

Do I believe it?

No.

5. You typically type out your little hand gestures like that?
Seriously, what's the point? You know the internet is text and image based correct? I don't think people really care what you are doing with your hands.

14. Maybe another candidate
NEW YORK (The Borowitz Report) - In what is looming as another public relations predicament for Goldman Sachs, the banking giant admitted today that it made "a substantial financial bet against the Gulf of Mexico" one day before the sinking of an oil rig in that body of water.

The new revelations came to light after government investigators turned up new emails from Goldman employee Fabrice "Fabulous Fab" Tourre in which he bragged to a girlfriend that the firm was taking a "big short" position on the Gulf.

"One oil rig goes down and we're going to be rolling in dough," Mr. Tourre wrote in one email. "Suck it, fishies and birdies!"

17. Really? You don't think that the real rulers of the world behave in such a manner?
Sabotaging there own efforts an attempt to control global markets? I think it's possible.

21. It seems unlikely. The states whose coastlines and citizens' livelihoods
potentially wiped out by this oil disaster were not blue states to begin with.

Greed and more greed, IMO, is at the bottom of it. Minimum expenditures on safety and maximum profit from product.

22. Of course. Big companies always inflict unprecedented public relations catastrophies on themselves
And kill their own employees and destroy their own equipment while they do it. It's how they make money.

I just don't see a compelling reason for them to do that.
