Has anyone seen any speculation about the Gulf of Mexico oil slick and weather changes to come?

Has anyone seen any speculation about the Gulf of Mexico oil slick and weather changes to come?
I'm thinking the slick must be changing heat absorption and evaporation rates, to say the least. What happens in the Gulf has an impact across Northern Europe.

1. It sounds like they be getting some of our oil once it is done
fucking up the southeastern U.S.

2. I've been wondering if the oil spill will make it to the coastline of GB and France
lots of ocean there but the current would move the oil along too, I assume.
