4. I love Pogo. Always have. I would like to own Walt Kelly's Collected Works. |
Albert. Howland, Churchie La Femme, Mz Mamselle Hepzibah, Mz Groundhog and her son, Baby Grundoon. The three hobo bats, Bewitched, Bothered and Bemildred. The Marx-spouting Cowbirds. And that greatest of all political satirical figures, Simple J. Malarkey. (Senator Joe McCarthy to you.) And the drawings were exquisite, always. Sigh.

5. Fantagraphics reprinted all the strips in B/W paperbacks ... |
and it looks like they are about to reprint them in hardback, maybe in color this time. http://www.amazon.com/Pogo-Complete-Sunday-Strips-Through/dp/1560978694/ref=pd_sim_b_1(Sorry for the Amazon link; couldn't fine the info elsewhere. My visit reminded me why I've come to dislike Amazon.)
