Marco Rubio wants to decrease Social Security for people under 55.

Make sure your conservative/moderate friends in their early 50s understand this, especially if they live in Florida. Here is a Fox News transcript of him saying that he believes benefits must be cut for people like him. Guess what? He's only about 38 years old.

I guess if you're 50 and Rubio is elected, you better start rethinking retirement.

2. I'm assuming this would also include people under 55 who collect
survivor benefits from the death of a parent.

My niece's mother loves Jug Ears but she loves those benefits even more.

Funny too that he is unaware of any "investigation" into his spending yet a day or so after it was announced his people sent a check for an "inadvertent" expenditure.

Weasel.

3. I don't see how people like Paul Ryan get elected.
His whole plan to cut the deficit is to demolish any sort of safety net we have.

NPR had some sort of glowing little news story on him.
It was just one of the many nails they put on their coffin.

I thought I'd miss listening to them but nope...I feel great!!

4. Ryan, R. (Ill?) is one of the GOP Darlings and rising stars.
He developed a plan for the GOP which is somewhat similar
to GWB Plan and Newt Gingrich plan before him. Rubio
is pretty much following. Grandfather in Present SS Retirees
and Medicare Recipients. No changes for this group.

Medicare and SS will be cut. The Recipients will then participate
in Private --Wall Street Plan. All of their plans eventually
end up in participation on Wall Street. (Privatization).

Their theory is . !. Do not upset the Seniors--Leave their
plan in place. It is their belief that younger people will
prefer investing in Wall Street to the Government. They may
just get their way because the Left never fights back. I have
to assume they believe the younger Democrats will also prefer
this arrangement.

The GOP are not like Democrats. Democrats simply react. They
wait until the problem in staring them in the face. The
GOP have been on this approach working under the radar
since the 94 rout. I found it striking that young Paul Ryan
waltzed on the set of MSNBC and laid out the strategy
as if he had been in Congress 50years.

6. What an idiot. Even if someone agrees with him, in an era when most people have seen
their own savings halved or worse, advancing this idea is political suicide.

7. Rubio is a genuine fascist, yet many people here are running around
declaring that he is no worse than Charlie Crist.

Actually, he's a hell of a lot worse than Crist, and this is but one example.

8. In fact, "Marco Rubio" is also a medical term for
the polyps found in Jeb Bu$h's anus.

9. Excellent point. Sending Prettyboy Rubio to the Senate is the same as
sending Jeb there. The very same.
