Color me shocked. NOT. ABC isn't outing madam's clients
You can bet your ass that this list was full of prominent Republicans, otherwise WHY would so many have sought image repair consultants prior to the list being released?
ABC is a joke. Just another reichwing snooze organization.

WASHINGTON – During several weeks of calls to possible clients of the woman dubbed the D.C. Madam, Brian Ross of ABC confirmed that some fairly important people had used her escort service.

But when he put together Friday night's segment for 20/20, the network's chief investigative reporter decided against outing anyone beyond the two people who already had been identified, Deputy Secretary of State Randall Tobias and Defense Department consultant Harlan Ullman.

"Their names won't mean anything to our audience," Mr. Ross said. "They just weren't newsworthy enough." Instead, he said, "what we really wanted to do is demonstrate the range of official Washington" involved with the escort service.

Their positions, as described by Mr. Ross, made them important, at least by the capital's standards: A federal prosecutor, who recently died. A handful of military officers, including the head of an Air Force intelligence squadron. A senior official at the World Bank. But their relative anonymity spared them exposure as a result of the decision by Mr. Ross, 20/20 executive producer David Sloan and senior vice president Kerry Smith.

I had to rely on the newspaper report.

4. yeah, why "lawyer up" if you aren't on the list
my other theory - which I give less probability to - is that she sold ABC the list before they could see who was on it (and not on it). They got stuck with something not too juicy and just pimped the 20/20 segment to try and recupe part of what they spent.

5. I watched 20/20 tonight
They have all the phone records and claim that no Congressmen or WH staff are on the list. They did say there were lobbyists -- both Repugs and Democrats -- and businessmen, but no one really well-known.

That's their story and they're sticking to it.

7. In other words
There aren't any Democrats, therefore they want to remain "non-partisan".
I still shake my head as to why this chick gave the list to ABC.

14. That was my take
But far be it from me to impugn the integrity of that fount of journalistic integrity, ABC.

Madame may have more to say about her clientele, perhaps?

17. When I read that she gave the list to ABC...
I wondered why the hell she didn't give it to someone like Moyers. Damn. I knew they were gonna double-cross her and they did. Brian Ross pretty much finished his "reputable" career tonight. Come on. How stupid do they think we are?

ABC=DISNEY! Enough said?

11. I caught a bit of it during Moyers' interview of that poor soul
who was ramrodded into jail, falsely, for twenty five years.

They (ABC) claimed, or at least intimated that there were equal numbers of high profile democrats involved yet failed to produce a shred of evidence of any dem's even hiring a lawyer to try to spin and lie about such a case.

How I wish the slander and libel laws had a bit greater reach and more teeth and that DC Madam had sold her list to Keith Olbermann, instead.

16. What a waste of my time
ABC claims "there was nobody important or newsworthy on the list," then proceeds to announce that one of those identified is a "career Justice Department prosecutor", multiple lobbyists, etcetera.

Somehow, I'm thinking the madam is saving the truly "big" names in case she's convicted.

21. I respect people's privacy
I don't think it's right for the media should list all who contacted the escort service. That's someone's personal business, and it shouldn't be shared to anyone.

What matters most about a politician is what happens outside of the bedroom.

24. Prostitution is a crime. Using prostitution isn't private, it is involvement in a criminal act.
As long as prostitution is illegal, I don't see how anyone who partakes in the activity has any claim to privacy.
