Yesterday's late afternoon leak about the NYC bomber was a bad leak

Some leaks are not really leaks... governments routinely use anonymous sourcing in intentional, sanctioned media information releases. (CYA.)

And some leaks are harmless.

Yesterday's leak was potentially harmful.

They expected to arrest him at home. The guy was on the run-way moments away from fleeing the country because of media reports that he was about to be arrested.

So that's a bad leak.
