Bush's anti-abortion stand is motivated by greed? |
|
As evil as most of us on DU think Bush is, why would it be so far fetched to believe that his anti-abortion stance is not motivated by religion but with the idea of supplying world wide corporations with an endless supply of cheap labor.
This really will not affect America or will it? Come to think of it, who works at Wal-Mart?
I have always believed this was the motivation when he signed the Global Gag Order – his first official act when he became president in January, 2000 - which cut off funding for International Planned Parenthood. As a result of that act, how many unwanted children have been born in third world nations across the world to start filling the expanding global corporations workforce.
So, once he took his anti-abortion stand, he would have to stand by it all the way.

1. Well, gee, you can be certain it wasn't motivated by morality |

viable. For whatever reason.
When we have millions and millions of people suffering due to lack of food, clean water and medicine, it seems a waste of energy to focus on non here and now entities. MKJ

There's no economic advantage from this nonsense - which is why Thatcher didn't back her own anti-abortion nuts. Its a sop to the fundies.
