patience is a virtue... kneejerk finger pointers.
So the Times Square bomber is a US Citizen of Pakistani descent, who was recently in Pakistan and he had a partner in crime who has been arrested in Pakistan.

Look back at DU the last few days at the intricate, detailed descriptions of how this HAD to be a domestic (teabagger) terrorist. They look really foolish now. And the DU'er who cross-posted in 100 places how the Times Square incident was connected to OKC and McVeigh.

Reality check. American soldiers CONTINUE to kill people, blow stuff up and cause mayhem in Afghanistnam, near the Pakistan border. War is war, for every bad guy you kill you produce 100 more...

Had enough yet?

Reap what you sow, baby... next time the bastards may get the bomb right.

Comes pretty close to saying we deserve it. Which is perhaps what you mean.

We DON'T deserve it... that's the point!

I hope and pray we get the hell out to prevent further problems.

6. well...
how are the planners, executors, and people responsible for 9-11 doing? Well... they're all either dead, in prison or in the case of UBL living in a cave (or in Iran).

The US has killed maybe 100,000 Muslim insurgents on the field of battle already...

When is the time to say "enough" blood lust, enough retribution?

9. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't OBL indicate that
9/11 happened because of the presence of U.S. military near the holy sites of Mecca and Medina? We didn't withdraw our troops from there until 2003, nearly 2 years after 9/11.

10. OBL claims it was the US/Israel alliance that motivated it

5. well...
there are basically 2 options here... if you insist on running around the world, killing people including civilians, making enemies... then you should:

1) Institute strict laws to keep us safe here (near martial law) things like phone tap, wire tap, surveillance, you know... USSR type stuff.

2) Modify foreign policy to remove the boot off the throat of 3rd world countries.

and then there's option #3 which is currently being exercised.

Run around and piss off people, make enemies and whine when the US isn't the most open nation on the planet with opening arms, abundant civil rights and lax restrictions.

Although violence is not a political thing but it is an emotional maturity level problem.

When I was posting on the topic, I did not think the person was smart, and did not figure the person was organized.

8. thank you...
By the way... yesterday in Afghanistnam a Canadian soldier was KILLED and the day before yesterday THREE Polish soldiers were killed in Afghanistnam.

697 DEAD coalition soldiers since Jan. 2009. Those are all REAL people, probably nice kids and young men and women. I'd probably love to go out and have a beer with any of them. I wonder what their favorite books were? Too bad none of them got to watch AVATAR in 3D, it was a fun movie. How many children were left without moms/dads? How many tears have been shed my mothers and fathers?

But whatever... WAR INC. is rockin' now baby...
