Ayla Brown, Scott Brown's Daughter, Gets CBS 'Early Show' Job
BOSTON — Former "American Idol" contestant Ayla (AY'-lah) Brown has a new job even before she graduates from Boston College.

The daughter of Massachusetts Republican Sen. Scott Brown is serving as CBS "Early Show" contributor. She's producing pieces focused on the youth audience.

Executive Producer David Friedman said Tuesday he became interested in Brown when she sang on the morning show. She had previously been an "American Idol" semifinalist.

He says, "You can't create the next Katie Couric; you just have to find talent that you think can develop into something."

Bet she wouldn't have the job is she wasn't the daughter of Brown and his TV reporter wife. I'm sure she has some talent but it doesn't hurt to be born with that silver spoon.

1. Say, that reminds me...whatever happened to Jenna Bush joining the Today Show?
That happened last year, but I don't recall hearing anything about Jenna in many months. Is she still with the show?

3. Last time I heard she was doing pretty good, had good reviews and
is learning the craft. Her interview with Pres. Clinton was quite good, she referred to him as Poppy's other son and it went over pretty well. Another one who at least looks much better is Luke Russert. He's lost weight, had the hair styled and has had lessons I think in composure and voice style. Just MO..

5. Oh God, another dingbat desperate to be famous
I thought we were done with her four years ago when she was told by Simon Cowell that she is basically competent but uninteresting at everything talent wise.

8. I remember her very well. I thought she was very talented and
was sorry to see her go. Simon didn't like her because he deemed her an over-achiever.
