How do we turn this energy into votes?
In business I had a "rule of threes". This was basically, because no matter how complex, expensive, risky or strategically imperative an issue was, the "suits" (I can say that, I was one) could only remember three things.

What are the three main points we can use to take America back?

1. Democracy has been hijacked! Corp campaign money, lobbyists, etc.

2. We can take it back! Within our constitution, without bloodshed or great human suffering.

3. Progressive tax, much like we had 30 or 70 years ago. Rebuild the middle class.

Other suggestions welcome...

1. I like 1 &2
I think instead of 3, we need to focus on unions and educate people on how they helped build the middle class.
That can help build support for EFCA and hopefully a bush for better trade deals. I'd love to see our trade deals include provisions about a minimum wage, benefits, etc.

5. I also support the Unions, and believe they have a major role....
...but we have to convince lots of voters who have no affiliation with Unions and many who have been indoctrinated to think labor unions are evil. Supporting unions and repealing "union-busting" laws are important in support of the "taking our country back" issue. I don't believe unions can be a key point among the "big 3" and lead us to victory.

thanks for your thoughtful input..

2. let's look at it the other way
How do we turn the obsession with voting and partisan electoral politics into energy for building a strong political movement?

6. there is only one issue
The laundry lists of causes people carry around leads to confusion and dispersal of energy.

There is one issue and one cause - the well being of people in the working class.
