Iraq: The Women's Story
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=891513925297288257

A compelling account of a life inside Iraq that is rarely seen on news bulletins: stories of ordinary women whose struggle to survive has ... all » only worsened since the war.

Iraqi women and child The invasion of Iraq heralded promises of freedom from tyranny and equal rights for the women of Iraq. But three years on, the reality of everyday life for women inside Iraq is a different story. To make this film, two Iraqi women risk their lives to spend three months travelling all over the country with a camera to record the lives and experiences of women they meet.

1. I much admire those women for risking their lives to make this film
If people in this country would pay attention to the effect that our war is having on the people of Iraq there would be a lot less support for it.

2. This is just so sad
How can we do this to these people? Where is the conscience of our nation?

4. Much of our nation doesn't have a clue
The story of the Iraqis themselves is rarely reported by our corporate news media. We're told by the Bush administration that we are fighting to bring democracy to Iraq, among other things. Even many who voice opposition to the war do so out of our failure to "succeed" there or because of the American soldiers who are dying there. While those are good reasons for getting out, the story of the Iraqis themselves must be told.

5. This is not for the faint hearted
I cried like I haven't cried for a long, long time. The wads of toilet paper are all around the computer desk and floor. The devastation is heart rendering. I can't take it. I'm so ashamed of what we have done.

8. Hopefully more people will take the 50 minutes to watch this
movie, it is sad that there have been only 17000 views in the past year.

Why do they hate us? Watch!

Thanks for posting.
