Let's see if we can create an evolutionary process
Let's see if we can create a change in semantics. Let's see if we can get our spokespeople to use the term Occupation instead of "War". War has Glory and Heroics associated with it. Occupation has debt and bad feelings associated. Besides the fact that Occupation is the truth where "War" is a complete fallacy. I watched the Bill Moyer interview with Jon and Josh the other night and they both said they use the internet for their research and developement. They scour all the political sites for insights and information that usually is only within some local newspaper. I know that what we say here actually gets read by influential people. Let's see if we can have some influence. End the Occupation Now

2. I've been using the o-word for a long time.
I'm still trying to find out the last time somebody 'won' an occupation.

3. I very seldom see it in writing here and almost never hear anyone actually say it

I would love to see the term "War" disappear from these boards to be replaced with occupation. Both in Iraq and Afghanistan. Words are very important and the GOP is far better at using them in a favorable light than are the Democrats.
