1. Her ilk make that claim over & over & over in the dillusional hopes that will will suddenly be true.
And their minions actually believe it to be true.

They also have their zombie-followers thinking that all the Founding Fathers were Christians of the Palin-type. :eyes:

until January 1959. Oh I know...I know that's was she thinks all those amendments are. Every time they wanted to make a territory or what ever a state the made those old amendments and added them to the Constitution. But they sure are behind because they don't have quite fifty amendments yet.

24. It's a very old trick
Heard a professor say once how old it is to claim an affinity with god in politics, then mentioned that george bush was doing this in his 2000 campaign. Had someone walk out of class, didn't bother me any. Wish there were some more cantankerous and honest history professors like him in Texas, though this was in indiana which isnt far behind.

44. Agree. The woman is not dumb. She is, as you note, like Dubya
just intellectually lazy when it comes to anything which doesn't interest her personally. Neither Dubya or Sarah really wanted to be politicians. Well, not the kind of politicians who really know how state or federal governments operate. And there are people who work their entire lives to become politicians because they are totally passionate about government. Like Newt, Bill Clinton, Guiliani. Love them or hate them, at least they know the details. They're totally entranced with the details. I loathe Guiliani. But after 9-11, he showed he knew how his city operated; all the nuts and bolts. Ssrah, like Dubya, just isn't interested. The details that beguile others, bore her. She wants the celebrity, not the work. Being governor didn't interest her. She got out. She doesn't do her Faux News homework, either. She wings it. She wants the spotlight, not the research. And she's been able to become very successful while just smirking, winking, and posturing, just like Dubya.

30. she is not dumb. SHE IS TEACHING AMERICA LIES.
if this were her answer on a test in school, you might conclude that she was dumb.

but it's not a test in school, it's a public forum for impressing a view upon a nation. the more they hear crap like this, the more it becomes "common knowledge" or "accepted truth" regardless of any relationship (or lack thereof) to actual fact.

simply put, the right-wing has an AGENDA and one of the items on that agenda is to brainwash people into thinking that the constitution is a christian document. eventually, this will enable them to govern directly based on their interpretation of the bible, or of god, bypassing the constitution altogether. but that's a ways down the road. the first step is simply to get "god" and "constitution" linked, even though they are not.
