GOP try to gut financial regulation bill is rejected in Senate...
Democrats - with a little support from the GOP - voted down a GOP bill to ammend the regulation of the Federal Reserve - Obama said the GOP amendment would be worse than the status quo - link:

The bill allows Federal oversight and audits for the Fed, and makes public its now secret meetings and activities.
