I just watched Mitt Romney on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno
and :puke: what a bunch of

FUCKING BULLSHIT

that Leno let him get away with.

He asked about the 400 dollar haircut, and Mitt said he would be getting one before the debate, but Leno didn't ask him how much it would cost

Leno brought up Pelosi, and let Mitt fucking lie through his teeth about the trip.

I recognize that Leno has a job to do, and that is to suck up to everyone on his show in order to get more guests.

Stephen Colbert for the win!

18. Nice fluff piece, however
I don't believe it. He has been attacking the Clintons for what? 15 years without ceasing, while letting the Chimp slide. His promotion of the Groper was the last straw, How much did he save on his auto taxes? His deeds betray is intentions.

19. He attacks Bush all the time.
But he has to keep it "balanced" so as not to offend his viewers. And he's been a friend of Arnold's for a long time, which is the reason he supported him.

22. balanced ?Hahahahahahahaa
15 years of 5 Clinton jokes a night vs 1 per week for Bush is about what I have seen. But then I stopped watching a few years ago. Funny, He didn't seem to need balanced for Davis or Angelidies

23. I see him make several anti-Bush jokes daily.
Yeah, the Clinton ones get old, but he doesn't want to go too far in either direction so he doesn't offend anyone. After Bush leaves office, I'm sure he'll still make jokes about him, even with the new president in office.

after all sex jokes sell; Dumb jokes will work for any Gop'er. Betcha the Chimpy jokes end in Jan 09.

3. Was he likeable on the show? That's my big worry--
he looks totally fake on the podium, but if he gets a chance to come across as a real swell guy in a relaxed environment, his poll numbers might improve. Everyone over at Daily Kos thought Huckabee would be in the top tier by now, 'cause he just seemed so damn likeable in person on TDS. Of course, now we know that he's a total fundie/Darwin Denier with a sociopath for a son and has no chance in hell, but that likeability stuff can be a campaign maker. Got my eye on that Mittens, I tell ya.

10. Yeah, he took his digs
Joked about having a rabbit's head mounted about his fireplace next to the mice and squirrels. Joked about him being the most unlikely person to ever grace the front page of the USA Today's sports section (due to his Olympic "work")

6. Jay Leno is from Massachusetts, and regrettably, he seems to be a Republican
It's not just the "job to do" thing--he sucks up. Guess it's his tax bracket. Arnie's announcement, the coddling of Mitt the Shitt...it's all part of a pattern with him. He cares more about his taxes than the issues that concern Mavis, apparently...

Wish he'd asked Mitt if he'd had it to do over again, would he have line-item vetoed those tens of millions of dollars in Tunnel Inspection/Maintenance expenditures from the state budget, which were followed by the death of a woman who was CRUSHED by a falling concrete tile weighing tons in a Boston tunnel?

Wish he'd asked Mitt if he's stopped using undocumented workers to groom the lawns of the Belmont home he never lives in? If he uses undocumented workers at the home he lived in most of the time, in NEW HAMPSHIRE, while he was governor of MA?

Wish he'd asked Mitt how he feels now about the "reformer" coroner clown he hired for the state of MA, who LOST A DEAD body this past week???

Leno has a huge share--he doesn't have to suck up. He actually IS a Republican. He wasn't when he was young--he's gotten OLD, and mean. And he managed to avoid Vietnam, too (even if you're dislexic, which wasn't understood back in the sixties, if your parents pay FULL TUITION, they'll let you into a not terribly demanding college, and keep you in to help the bottom line), so he never had to deal with the shit...

It's unfortunate.

The irony is that MEAN OLD Letterman gets nicer as he ages, and even MORE progressive than he used to be....go figure?

9. I'm a MA native
You don't have to preach it for me.

Did he ask why he won points with the teacher's union by voting to finally give state college teachers a contract, and then zeroed out its funding?

Did he pull a Bush and Condi when Andover flooded and do absolutely nothing about the source of the problem?

13. He wasn't even in the STATE when that happened...the first time, anyway!
And his LT Gov, Miz "Lemme Fix My Hair So It Looks Cute Under the Hardhat--Aww, never mind, I'll Skip the Hat for the Pictures" didn't dare even go to toney Andover for fear of irrevocably pissing off the GOP contributors in their trophy homes built too close to the river and the wetlands! Instead, she went to Lawrence, strutted to a bridge, looked over the rail, had her picture taken, chatted with a few "officials," IGNORED the hundreds of people nearby crying, demanding answers, pleading with her to speak to them, who had been flooded out of their homes and had no place to live, and strutted back to her car.

Check the witch out--she looks like she's touring a children's museum or something:

14. Romney is so smart.
He hired a medical examiner two years ago because the medical examiners office was in shambles so say he. The new one lost a body last week. Took a while to find it. Go Mittens Patrick suspended him and will fire him.

16. Have you seen his TV ad yet???? Caught in on MSNBC, I t hink.....when
he launches into his crap about how Americans are overtaxed and that gov. spends too much......Yeah, the lower end is taxed too much, not the rich; and the gov. is wasting money on Iraq for the oil cos., not on services for the nation....but you know what he's implying, that those bad poor people are robbing 'Murica......

Really, he's slime. He's running on the Reagan mantra, alright.

And you know....we don't stand a chance unless someone really rights these lies. John Edwards, bless him, seems to be in the trenches on exactly this sort of stuff....

dating his future wife who was only 15 years old at the time? Dare I say that any sex would be considered rape? And who in the media will go down that road? The media will sit back and assume Romney could never have had premarital sex. They would ask if he were named Bill Clinton.

21. I really miss Johnny Carson for putting the screws to politicians
of both parties. *w would have been skewered and roasted nightly by Carson. Instead Leno seems to prefer to make sex jokes about Clinton that are way past their expiration date. I don't see Letterman using as much material as he could against George either. It makes me wonder whom they are being censored by. My opinion is that the corporation CEOs, who have taken over the networks since Carson, are taking orders from the White House. They are probably being told that it's unpatriotic to make fun of the Commander guy in a time of war. I wonder who our minister of propaganda is?
