I have a question about that 'fat finger' and the Wall Street ride:
Was it Cheney's or one of his minions?

2. I Hear There's An Aluminum Shortage
From all the :tinfoilhat: tinfoil flying around this thing...

Here's the problem with conspiracies and Wall Street...the insider game is so widespread its hard to keep the lids on any real coordinated scheme without it being detected. Also, if this were to be such a major fleecing, you'd think this con would have lasted more than a few minutes...drop and bottom for a couple hours to let the suckers do the dumping and the bottom feeders plenty of room to manuever. In this case you had to be totally wired to some kind of terminal...quickly buy during the minute or so when the bottom was hit...I mean light speed quick.

If Crashcart is gonna make big money it'll be in the subsequent run-up on oil prices as the Gulf slick prevents tankers from getting into the Port of NOLA and we start hearing about shortages. Now there's manipulation we can trace...

3. My fear it was only meant to shock/scare to start selling soon.
Because of this story, everyone now everyone knows that Greece is burning and that PIGS will soon fly, into the Abyss. Add to that potential Derivatives on Government Bonds... This is my Tin Foil Hat.

4. Actually This Works In Favor Of US Investors...
If the PIGs "fly" and the Euro falls apart, that means the "safe" money will flow toward the good old Dollar. It could be the reverse effect of what we saw about two years ago when our markets tanked and that money went flying toward the Euro (there was even talk of detaching the price of oil from the dollar and hooking it up to the Euro). We could see a rush of buying of our debt, T-Bills and other financials that would lift the market.

The strife in Greece wasn't about their economy collapsing as much as the price it will have to pay to remain solvent within the Euro system. There is a bail out on the way and surely the hedgers will be getting a nice chunk of that money, but the instability this creates across the big ditch can only be good news for the banksters on this side.

5. Then corporations will start hiring again and the econmy will grow...
no wait, that was once a dream I had, sorry. Besides, why spend money building an economy when you can make a killing on toxic speculation.

I like the term bankster!

6. This Has Nothing To Do With Jobs...
Unfortunately. A broken Euro an strong dollar would rise prices on US goods to Europe and dry up whatever bargain hunting they've been doing here over the past few years.

Wall Street has totally written off the American worker...it's all gambling on cheap labor abroad and multinational profits. If you're fortunate enough to be able to invest in their games, you win, if not, you take whatever scraps are thrown around. This country is flat busted broke with no real infrastructure left to generate jobs....and no plan from the government to change things.

7. I agree, the House has fixed the Table.
Just wish I knew where they are taking us.
