Nurse Appreciation Week
Taken from someone who posted it on Facebook:

Being a NURSE means... You carry immense responsibility and very little authority...You step into people's lives & make a difference ... Some bless you, others curse you ... You see people at their worst and best ... You see life begin & end ... You see people's capacity for love, courage & endurance ... It's NURSE Appreciation Week

1. I appreciate the good ones...
the ones that turned the sound off my heart monitor in post-op care and didn't notice for 4 hours that it had quit working, I don't appreciate so much. But based on the parts of their conversations that I overheard, I appreciate that they have expert knoweldge of comparative prices on shoes and purses at Target, Wal-Mart and Kohl's.

11. You, like me, are entitled to post your opinon. I have no problem with that.
Peer pressure is a woefully insufficient to be held back from honest opinion.

2. I ran into an old friend from work yesterday who is in nursing - she
looked so tired and was very depressed. They are being overworked and abused even worse than when I was working there and I felt so bad for her...my wife said she looks like she is in prison.

If you can find time to do something good for anyone in nursing anywhere anytime, please do it - it is one of the toughest jobs on the planet especially here in the US where nurses bear the brunt of patient care and take the heat much of the time for others errors and bad decisions.

Everyone in nursing is a hero.
Rec.

3. it is a tough job
made tougher by arrogant, over bearing asshole doctors who think they are above everyone and who treat nurses and the rest of the help like dirt.

8. Nurses
are the backbone of the health industry world wide. I sometimes wonder how much more efficient most health services would be if they were run by nurses; not doctors or bureaucrats.

Happy Nurses Week to all nurses everywhere

Peace
