3 soldiers indicted in attack on homeless man

CINCINNATI — A grand jury has indicted three soldiers and another man on felonious assault charges in the beating of a homeless man who was sleeping under a Cincinnati bridge.

Indicted Thursday in Hamilton County were 24-year-old Michael Hesson of Cincinnati, 24-year-old Pvt. Riley Feller, 25-year-old Spc. Travis Condor and 21-year-old Matthew MacMurtrie.

Prosecutors say Feller is stationed at Fort Knox, Ky., and Condor and MacMurtrie are stationed at Fort Bragg, N.C.

Prosecutors say 52-year-old John Johnson was hit with a baseball bat and pipe and suffered a facial fracture in the April 10 attack. They say the assailants just wanted to “kick somebody’s butt.”

Calls to Feller’s and Hesson’s attorneys were not returned. It could not be immediately determined if the others have attorneys.

I believe it. My dad (Vietnam vet) is currently in treatment at the VA for his self-proclaimed tendency to "want to kick someones butt".

4. Don't these guys realize that chances are they will be living under a bridge before long?

Soon as the military industrial complex gets done using them they will be on their own.

I wonder if the homeless guy they beat up was a veteran too?
