The ‘Woodstock’ of Tea Parties planned for 9/11 anniversary
Last year, the Tea Party movement gathered in Washington, DC for a widely publicized rally on Sept. 12. Fox News host Glenn Beck, the brains behind the march, implored people to attend by saying that they “may be the only thing that stands between freedom and slavery.” Instead of recreating the patriotic unity that characterized the country following the 9/11 attacks, protesters carried signs reading “Bury Obamacare with Kennedy.” This year, Tea Partiers have decided to just have a rally on Sept. 11:

An event described as the “Woodstock” of tea parties is planned for Sept. 11 at the Monona County Fairgrounds in Onawa in western Iowa.

Craig Halverson of Griswold, who is helping to organize the event, said supporters hope to attract at least 1,000 people from Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota, Minnesota and other states. He said they are inviting prominent conservative speakers and plan to have bands perform patriotic music.

The event will have a “Take back our country” theme, Halverson said.

Halverson added that “organizers don’t plan to spend the day reflecting” on the 9/11 attacks.

8. Or are they celebrating it?
Speakers, bands, big gathering, all says "party time" to me. It will have been nine years since this crime, and the masterminds behind it still haven't been brought to justice. But we've spent a trillion dollars or more on two useless invasions and occupations. The Times Square Bomber? Arrested in 53 hours. Total cost was probably less than $10,000.

Compare and contrast, Tea Baggers: When doesn't government work, and when does it work? And who spends tax dollars more wisely and efficiently?

The annihilation of the middle class started with Reagan and has continued non-stop since. 9/11 really didn't have much to do with it. :hi:

The rest of the list is spot on.

So, let these wackjobs celebrate their bagginess. They are helping the local economy and by default the Obama economic programs.

Great comment from the source:

"How could it ever be anything close to Woodstock?

Will there be skinny dipping?

Will there be free love and open sex?

Will there be sharing of pot and other hallucinogens?

Will the music be amazing?

No, no, no and definitely not…"
