The chief’s comments came in response to the recent release of a video showing a SWAT drug raid on a home in southwest Columbia. A warrant authorizing SWAT and investigators to enter Jonathan Whitworth’s home at 1501 Kinloch Court was executed eight days after Associate Circuit Judge Leslie Schneider approved the warrant Feb. 3. Burton said the state of Missouri allows police 10 days to execute a signed warrant and that he thinks Columbia officers should have done so immediately in this case."
