How long do you think the shelf life of polls is (or should be)? |
|
That is, how many days or weeks have to go by before the data reported in a poll starts getting kind of old, and can no longer claim to represent the sentiments of the respective population?

I think the self life of a poll gets shorter as the election gets closer. I say this because more independents will begin to make their choices closer to election time, also campaigning heats up and information about all the candidates becomes more available.

6. It really depends on the poll and the supporting data. |

If it is a rolling poll with weeks of trendlines to compare it to, it is good unless something drastic happens.
