How many different ways can we continue to fuck up our planet?
Edited on Sat May-08-10 12:05 AM by cynatnite
I like to think I'm doing my part. We're careful about our carbon footprint, we recycle, and we generally do the best we can to take care of our planet. Grant it, it's not much in the big picture, but I figure...what the hell...we all gotta do our part. Hopefully, the combined effort will make a difference.

But then I read this....

Gulf of Mexico Is Major Dumping Ground For Unexploded Bombs.

:wtf:

Yes, BP planting their rig there is another instance of greed overcoming common sense. It's the height of stupidity.

We continue to fuck up our planet in the most irresponsible and unthinkable ways. It's proven that life exists even in the deepest parts of our oceans. We have beautiful precious life that is a part of a delicate ecosystem that too many people take for granted.

Yet, we've got floating garbage patches out on the ocean and we're dumping unexploded ordinance in our waters. Oh, and of course there is the oil that continues to spew and poison our ocean.

I'm pretty fucking pissed.
