Tina Harden: Material In Books Inappropriate For Teens

ORLANDO, Fla. -- A central Florida mother has returned several library books after keeping them two years because she felt they were too racy for teens.

Tina Harden said the series by Cecily von Ziegesar, which spawned the popular "Gossip Girl" TV show, contains inappropriate sex and drug references.

Harden said she kept the books because she felt other teens shouldn't have access, though the library has other copies. She said she would have checked out those, too, if her membership hadn't been revoked.

A man donated replacement books to the library and others planned to send checks or books.

:rofl: I just love when parents come into the library and try to censor for all. Works everytime, NOT. We've had a women who wanted any book detailing the 60s decade to have any naked pictures cut out. :rofl:
