Jeb Bush takes aim at Crist, supports Rubio
Jeb Bush takes aim at Crist, supports Rubio during Florida west coast appearance
By GEORGE BENNETT
Palm Beach Post Staff Writer
Posted: 9:29 p.m. Friday, May 7, 2010

WESLEY CHAPEL - Former Gov. Jeb Bush returned to the Republican speaking circuit Friday with some shots at Gov. Charlie Crist and a call to conservatives to mount "hopeful, optimistic" opposition to President Obama's policies.

Speaking to a Pasco County Republican Party dinner audience of about 600, Bush praised former Florida House Speaker Marco Rubio, whose surge as a Republican Senate candidate knocked Crist out of the GOP primary and into an independent bid.
Rubio and Bush entered the event together and were quickly swept up in separate circles of well-wishers and picture-takers.

Bush didn't mention Crist by name, but called Crist's recent veto of a merit-pay bill for teachers one of the "greatest disappointments as far as policy."

The bill, which tied teacher raises to student performance on tests, would "simply say that teachers that do better than teachers that do bad should be paid a heck of a lot more."

2. Another snippet from the article
"Barack Obama believes that if you redistribute wealth and you expand government that you can provide security for people and that's their first need," Bush said. "Republicans and conservatives need to take a hopeful, optimistic approach which says if you limit government's power that you'll create more opportunities and more prosperity."

Bush praised "entrepreneurial capitalism" several times and said Republicans should unapologetically embrace it.

"I am so sick and tired of people with big podiums and TelePrompters looking down on the American people and casting aspersions on the people that risk their capital to pursue their dreams to create jobs and prosperity. The demonization of capitalism has got to stop," Bush said.

When he was done, one audience member shouted "Jeb Bush for president" and received loud applause.

What would Jeb Bush or any Bushie for that matter know about risking their OWN captial to pursue dreams to create jobs and prosperity?

3. The teleprompter dog whistle.
He was probably using a teleprompter when he said it.

24. Oh that is a good one!
I looked at the online pictures to see if there was a teleprompter, but none of the ones I looked at showed it. I am sure it was there.

They are such hypocrites, all of them.

25. Apparently the GOP made sure all photos of Jeb were too close to show the teleprompter.

But check this out, this from February 18 is almost as good:

CPAC Speakers Mock Obama’s Teleprompter

As he addressed the Conservative Political Action Conference, Marco Rubio stood by a teleprompter while he ribbed President Obama about using a Teleprompter.

Sorry Hon, but if you're in FL, I don't think you've seen the end of the train yet. Lil' Jebbies policies are going to continue to bite y'all in the ass for decades to come. I feel for you.

On the other hand, the fact that anyone with the BushCo* surname still believes they're relevant on politics is kind of humorous. If he does manage to get elected to anything, I expect people like us would be all over his ass every second of every day and, as a Bush, he can't take that kind of scrutiny. They're just that stupid.

If Crist wins the Bush machine in Florida will be broken into a million little pieces.

Go Charlie...

9. I Don't Like Bill McCollum
He's been a pain in my ass since 1980. I was so glad when Nelson whipped him in 00. The scary thing is that he has to be the favorite.

I think Crist in the race helps Sink. All , yes all , of Crist voters are anti-teanbaggers, so they will vote for him and Sink.

8. Local news anchor was just gushing over the reappearance of Pumpkinhead
in Florida politics. Nothing but full on REPUBLICAN reports for the first 5 minutes tonight. :puke:

The "popular" former Governor is "sure to re energize Republicans just when they needed it".

Sweet Jebus.

p.s. Pasco County is even more red neck and ignorant than my county.

10. the scary part is that JEBtm is trying to position himself as the only person who can unify
the warring elements of the Repug party. He will take 2012 is he thinks he can win. The other thing is his race for governor against Chiles also taught him a lesson. He isn't afraid to lose and try again.

Fuckity fuck fuck... :(

12. He was doing that ol' down home, folksy thing in the clip I saw last night
and the fodder units lapped it up.

One lady who was interviewed stated exactly what you said, Jeb is back to unify the party and he's very welcome to do so. She was visibly excited about being in the same room with him. :banghead:

It does scare and discourage me if Pasco fucking County is indicative of the rest of the state.

17. Sadly, malaise, it will not happen
They love their republicans down here and the poorer the county, the more dedication to the republican party.

I never thought Jeb would have been elected Governor, after his savings and loan scandals in Broward county.

The Bushies are like Florida roaches, you just can't get rid of them.

at the very least, to help this nation face the truth about the republicans.

because Jeb is gunning for Obama now with this shit.

18. Jeb Bush was one of the founders of the PNAC. A murder.
He is directly responsible for the slaughter of thousands of innocent Iraqi men, women and children. He is a recent convert to Catholicism and a member of the ultra-secret Opus Dei cult that is determined to replace the Republic with a Theocracy. These people are out right fascist bastards and the greatest threat that we are facing. For those who are unfamiliar with Opus Dei its members were the henchmen of the Spain's Fascist dictator Franco who was responsible for taking Spain back to the Dark Ages and running a police state.

21. Well, that was the kiss of death. But then again, Crist may lose to the Diebold machine.
Therefore, in this election, Crist may have to feel the wrath of what happened to the Dems in 2000 and 2004.

The Diebold machine is a ruthless and unforgiving king maker of the Republican party.

23. Rubio will do to Florida what he did to his own party's credit card account.
Edited on Sat May-08-10 10:03 AM by lpbk2713

Rubio is presently under investigation by several governmental agencies on several levels
for credit card abuse and flagrant abuse in spending lavishly on himself and family members.
