Let's put the money paid to Rekers by Attorney General McCollum into context. |

I want to know why the AG’s office paid one “expert” witness up to $120,000 for his testimony. Even if Rekers did 120 hours of work (or 3 solid work weeks of preparation on this case only) is the market rate for an “expert” psychologist $1000/hour. That’s crazy. If the market rate is $500/hour then did Rekers work 240 hours (6 consecutive work weeks)? I highly doubt it. If he is an expert should he need to do that much preparation for a trial? This is a strange case on many levels and questions must be asked and answered. Didn’t McCollum think this was too much to pay Rekers? Is something else going on?
Hmmmm....questions for Bill McCollum's Facebook page? Have at it, DUers! Make sure you ask this on mainstream media blogs and message boards. This story is still gaining stream. I think a columnist with the Orlando Sentinel is going to have a commentary tomorrow.

4. if i recall, according to his own testimony |
|
the numbers are based on an hourly rate of $300. so 400 hours, 10 solid weeks of 40 hrs / wk, and 5 if he was pulling 80 hr work weeks.

5. That just doesn't make sense. I'd like to see his time sheet for the work he |
|
supposedly did to prepare for the trial. I wonder if the State of Florida has it. I would have no idea where to even begin looking but surely someone on DU knows someone who could help.....
