$80 that includes free all day pass to Great Adventure?

And what about the other $60 per person, you keep $40 per person, and let the artist fight over the $20 per person they earn?

Lynyrd Skynyrd
Michael W. Smith
The Charlie Daniels Band

-- has Lynyrd Skynyrd gone downhill since Freebird?

2. Lynyrd Skynyrd hasn't existed since 1977
Edited on Sat May-08-10 06:18 PM by Sebastian Doyle
Basically what you have now is Johnnie Van Zant living off his brother's corpse with a tribute band that is down to ONE actual member of Skynyrd (guitarist Gary Rossington) and a bunch of hired guns. Chris Jagger, Simon Townsend, and Michael McCartney WISH they could be so lucky.

Furthermore, the REAL Skynyrd was never right wing at all, and arguably even Liberal (at least by Southern standards) with songs like Sweet Home Alabama (which is anti-racist) and Saturday Night Special, which says "handguns are made for killin'. They ain't no good for nothin' else" and ends with the suggestion that we dump them all "to the bottom of the sea". Now that's a radical statement to make in the Old Confederacy!

EDIT: didn't want to bash the wrong Van Zant brother. Donnie also cashed in on his brother's popularity, but at least he did so with his own band, 38 Special.

5. Michael W. Smith has been a big name in "Christian" music for over 20 years
Started out as Amy Grant's keyboard player and then went out on his own. He also referred to Chimpy W. Bush as his "best friend" a few years back. :puke:

You might remember his mainstream hit single "A Place in This World". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LpXMnY_t03M

Or not......

8. it would be a shame if there was some type of Terrorist Alert connected to the concert
I mean, it seems like a pretty likely target. All that Freedom and all, we know the terrorists hate our Freedom.

Not that there is any scare mind you. It would just be such a shame if one did suddenly pop up and scare everyone off.
