Sean Penn Rocked on Bill Maher
last night!.. I thought it was a really good show. S.Penn is my hero, really. I loved his comments on Larry King and last night, when he exclaimed, "They oughta be in f-in Prison!" I just had to cheer! And I must say it has been a really long time since I saw Gary Sandling and I thought he was funny, but just weird as if he was stoned or loaded or something..anyone else notice that? The Tennessee Black man-dang! forgot his name!...He seemed like he was still hurtin' from his big loss, seemed somber esp. compared to the others.

1. You're talking about Harold Ford Jr.
The biggest disappointment of the 2006 elections. I contributed to his campaign even though I knew nothing about him because my cousins in TN said he was better than the repuke who was runnin against him. Then I read some of the shit he said. What a friggin disappointment. I suppose he was marginally better than the other guy but he sounded like a jesus freak, bible thumping fundagelical preacher. He appears to completely lack any sense of humor and seemed very uncomfortable with all the references to the DC madam scandal on the Maher show.

He is now the head honcho of the pro bidness Democratic Leadership Council, and an ally of such DLC big shots as Joe Loserman, which chould tell you all you need to know.

6. I was hoping to hear Penn say more
Ford shut down after the first "fuck" was thrown out there and although I thought Sandling was funny for once, I wish he'd have given Penn more of the floor. Penn even seemed a little tongue-tied and had trouble spitting words out. I can identify though...there are just so damn many scandals, which ones do you focus on and be able to pinpoint the talking points when you have the opportunity to reach such a large audience. At this point, my mind just reels from the enormity of this administration's crimes. Penn did put one thing very succinctly that I'm sure will resonate and be remembered...they all belong in fucking prison. Right on.

3. gary shandling was very funny and sean penn was right on!
fortunately, ford didn't say much. i found him disappointing last year and expect that bill had him on the show as a dino, to make up for not having a conservative on board.

i'm glad he had sanjay gupta on to sound the alarm for poisoned food.

5. Sean and Gary were awesome last night
Gary said "I'm just a comedian, but in my spare time I get aggravated" (or something like that). And when Sean said about the principal architects of this clusterfuck "they should be in fucking prison" - it was worth a year's worth of HBO payments.

7. Oh, great! Someone at work
today said they missed Maher last night but would see it during the week.

She'll be happy with that scenario!

9. I think maybe Gary Shandling has had plastic surgery
or something. He looked kind of botoxed up, like his skin was too tight. Very funny though
