1. Damn - what's it gonna take for people to stop supporting it completely? 58-77% still too high!
Edited on Sun May-09-10 07:07 AM by nc4bo
I guess it's going to have to hit them in the ass - right in their own backyards first, right?

Or maybe when they go on their fabulous beach vacations in the fabulous resorts and vacation homes and have to tip toe through oil slicks in the sand or masses of stinking, disgusting tarballs..

Support should be waaaay under 50%, really.

2. Chances are most of those that support it
Don't live near the beach and don't go to the beach

5. I think the point is the oil might soon befoul their beaches.
It's really not an obtuse concept.

6. Most people are completely ignorant as to how much oil is estimated to exist offshore...
and are completely unaware that it will have little to no affect on gas prices, overall.

7. Maybe when the $10 seafood/shrimp combo has gone up in price, they start asking some
questions and put the puzzle pieces together.

Not sure how just how much of our food comes from the Gulf but I think we're all about to find out very soon.

And now I'm reading about this Loop current and how this spill can travel up the east coast. Jeez, it's terrifying how far reaching this disaster can be and for how long we'll be seeing the effects of it.

3. I don't really trust Rasmussen but it is good to see some drop in the numbers
Hopefully that 58% is really 52% and still dropping as the oil keeps gushing
