Here is how I will be spending Mothers Day; what will you be doing?

1. laundry, plant some flowers and water others, make chicken wings

and a queso dip (a day of snacking), read a book and peek in on du.

2. do some shopping (food), mow the lawn

and call my mom.

3. I'll start by doing what mom would have done-skip church....she hated going on Mother's Day

because she was always singled out as "Mother with the most children" (5) and she hated the attention-said it made her feel like a brood sow.

Instead I'll play out in the garden and cook something special for my guy who's working today. Mom would have approved.

4. I'm spending the day waiting for the AT&T technician to come

and replace the tv box. This will be the 4th box (3 from Dish Network and this 1 for AT&T) they've had to replace. I told the person on the phone they need to make these receivers in the USA and she totally agreed with me. This box isn't even a month old and already needs to be replaced. I just don't see how that can be cost effective for Motorola. And I'll also be calling my Mom.

5. I'll go out for Mexican food later w/ my family.

Mmmmm...Mexican food! And I'll call my mom.

6. Taking the Moms to the store and whatever else she needs done.

8. Plan to stretch out and read for pure fun.

Wayward daughter called and we had a delightful (as always) chat.

No social justice/peace activities within hundreds of miles or here, so I am making peace begin with me today. Maybe if I can lower my blood pressure and regain some humor and perspective, I can be a better example of peaceful warrior through the coming week.

Oh, and I am roasting a chicken.
