what happens with workers compensation if we get national healthcare? |
|
do the employers get to drop it and only pay for unemployment compensation at that point?
To me that would be a big deal, in the trades here in Floriduh, roofing is about 55%, carpenters about 46%, and the higher you build, the more the premium.
It would seem to be way to save the employer money and give the workers a decent wage at the same time.
Am I mistaken?

1. You wont ever have to worry about that scenario |

:)
BTW, in Canada at least worker's comp still exists. It makes sense to keep it. Why should the society be burdened when an injury is the result of labor associated with one employer? It makes employers responsible and may even deter risk. Though, its probably cheaper.

4. Yep. Often a job injury requires more than medical care |

3. What makes you think we'll get national health care in this country? |
|
The kabuki theater done by Obama and Congress was done to enrich the parasitic insurance agencies and bail them out, not to give people health care. Each day, 273 people die due to lack of health care in the U.S.We need single-payer health care NOW.
