Dad has the kids 100% of the time so this Step-Mom is not just a "Part-Time-Mom"

She cooks the food
Does their luandry
and LOVES them as her own

actually she takes better care of them then their Bio-Mom ever did

2. How nice to see this...i've only been a stepmother and I've never had a Mother's Day!
Just told my hubby i was sick from the oil spill, acrid air here in Fla...and he just said he did not care. So it's nice to read about others having a nice day!

20. You are a mom, too
"Step" or not.

Is there anything that would make you feel pampered and loved today? Do it.

I won't say what I think of your husband. It's not nice.

4. Wow, wish I could get a present like that. Maybe one day.. it wouldn't be right
when I know we have no affordable way to buy any expensive anything. "I love you" is my favorite gift from my step-son.. who I just call son.

5. I think you said it in the body of your post, but not the subject line
The stepmother is the "REAL" mom. The other, only the biologic mom. Bearing a child does not automatically make you a mom.

6. Wow.
My step-mom and I don't have THE best relationship but it's gotten better over the past couple of years.
I've known her since I was 4 or 5 and they got married when I was around 9 or 10. I forget.

In any case, she could be a mean BIT** to me and hurt my feelings a lot.
She used to get mad when my dad would give me huge sums of money for good grades ($500-600 per report card) when I was in elementary and middle school.

My mom is pretty awesome. She does a lot for me and she accepts me for who I am. She didn't have any problems with me being gay, just worrying about people hurting me or treating me unfairly.

14. I'm happy to hear your mom is so wonderful, and I know she knows
how much you love and appreciate her.

I'm so sorry your step-mother hurt your feelings -- that breaks my heart when parents do that to kids.

18. Thanks
I worry a lot about my half-sis.
My step-mom has a very short temper and my half sis can be quite a handful.

19. Just do what you can. You can't change either of them, so don't
feel it's your job.

9. Some Step-Moms are better Moms than natural moms.
Edited on Sun May-09-10 12:16 PM by cherokeeprogressive
Step-Mom should get whatever she wants. It's not uncommon for Step-Mothers to be better Moms than the natural ones. I feel for those who have neither a good mom or a good step-mom.

I hope she enjoys the car. I would die for a new Mustang GT.
