Not until I see an official White House announcement |

Not until I see an official White House announcement with the president himself standing next to Elena Kagan will I be convinced that that is who his nominee will be.
I refuse to take seriously corporate media chatter from Georgetown Cocktail party groupies based on a bunch of leaks from cowardly anonymous sources, who are usually 20something or 30 something staffers trying to get into the loop with the media (they want to be invited to those Georgetown Cocktail parties, you see).

1. NBC's announcement seems authorized |

Given that MSNBC is the cable network most closely aligned with the administration it makes sense that they would give them the scoop.
If it wasn't true the White House would have issued a 'correction' by now.

This whole, "It's Kagan, Kagan, KAGAN!!!" crap still seems premature to me.
