Sarah Palin joined Fox News's Bill O'Reilly recently to condemn the critics of the National Day of Prayer, saying that the Judeo-Christian belief was the basis for American law and should continue to be used as a guiding force for creating future legislation.

According to Palin, the recent backlash against the National Day of Prayer is proof that some people are trying to enact a "fundamental transformation of America" and to "revisit and rewrite history" in order to shift the Christian nation away from its spiritual roots.

Palins's advice: "Go back to what our founders and our founding documents meant -- they're quite clear -- that we would create law based on the God of the bible and the ten commandments.

Clearly, she doesn't even realise that the 1st Amendment and 1st Commandment contradict each other (or that the 1st amendment makes her entire idea unconstitutional, for that matter). It's not a good start for her 'project'.

Palin is enriching herself by 'bearing false witness against her neighbors' and she is demanding our nation virtually become a theocracy? She makes money by lying about other people, so she is getting wealthy by violating one of the Ten Commandments she 'says' should be the laws of the land. Our founding fathers would be sickened at the sight of Palin and vomit at the things she says. Palin has no clue about the founding of our country. She doesn't even remember that one of the main reasons why people left England was because of religious oppression. That is why our founding fathers deliberately put into our Constitution: "Amendment 1 - Freedom of Religion, Press, Expression... "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Has Palin even read the 1st Amendment? By prohibiting congress to pass any law respecting the establishment of religion it meant (in part) that people should be FREE FROM THE INTOLERANCES of religion. They left England where religious intolerance was the law. And if Palin and other dangerous idiots were allowed to get away with it, the US would become a theocracy, and theocracies around the world are the most oppressive and intolerant countries on earth.

But I know what Palin and her trainers are doing. They are just manipulating the ignorant fundamentalists who go into a zombie like trance when they hear the word 'Jesus'. I've been to churches like Palin's where prayers against witchcraft were performed and every time the word 'Jesus' was mentioned people would throw up their hands, begin speaking in tongues or falling to the floor in some kind of mutant religious response.

Everything Palin does is for money and fame. And by doing so she is violating another of God's Ten Commandments about 'not having any other gods before me'. The biggest hypocrites I have ever encountered in this world have been from Christians.

NOTE OF CLARIFICATION: I am not opposed to Christianity or any other religious belief. But I am against them trying to force their demented views on others. That's what our founders were afraid of too. That's why they wrote the first amendment.

We had the most amazing conversation over coffee after Mother's day dinner last night.

My oldest son's boyfriend was raised Jehovah's witness. He, of course, no longer is. He's read
multiple versions of the Bible. Hubby has had an interest in Biblical archeology since he was
history major at UC Berkeley in the 60's. My youngest son just finished a religion
class at UNC Chapel Hill and is fairly informed about all the inconsistencies, language/translation
questions and various interpretations of Bible stories.

Sarah Palin is a f*ckin' idiot. She's uneducated, ill-informed, full of herself, and a narcissist.
Of course that makes her a perfect person to sound off about something of which she knows next to nothing.

This country is going down the tubes. Really, when someone like that is given an opportunity to spew her
ignorance, it's very, very troublesome.
