Shadowy outside group spending $1 million in Arkansas run out of P.O. box in Virginia
Greg Sargent

The other day I ranted about a shadowy outside group called Americans for Job Security, which is spending over $1 million in ads attacking Bill Halter in an effort to sway the Arkansas Senate primary -- without any of us knowing where any of that cash is coming from.

Here's something that drives home the absurdity of this. Halter's campaign has tracked down the group's mailing address, and sends over a pic. It's a P.O. box at this store in Alexandria, Virginia:

Says it all. I know this isn't news to anyone. But it is nonetheless remarkable that this group could help decide who represents the state of Arkansas in the upper chamber -- even though we know nothing about who's funding it, why, and who the group even supports.

2. Probably Communist China.
After all, Communist China is a big fan of Walmart, and Walmart is big in Arkansas. What's good for Walmart is good for Communist China.

5. Interesting. Halter should file a FOIA on this group.

Also, the WH is not helping Halter. Seems that Michelle Obama while in Arkansas snubbed Halter:

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2010/5/10/865099/-Classless

Hard work and “defiant courage” are deeply rooted values at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, first lady Michelle Obama told the historically black university’s graduating class, prompting ecstatic applause from thousands who gathered Saturday to hear her on her first visit to the state <...>

She thanked her “friend” Mrs. Beebe and the governor, who sat on the stage with university and UA System officials. She also noted the presence of Lincoln, Pryor, Ross, Redus and state Attorney General Dustin McDaniel, but didn’t mention Lt. Gov. Bill Halter, who was sitting in a row behind Lincoln.

Obama has said he supports 'the incumbent' who happens to be Blanche Lincoln. Seems he is doing more than just supporting the 'incumbent', the administraion is supporting the candidate, Blanche Lincoln.

7. Dollar BIll?
***IF*** he gets the nomination he is likely to get his butt kicked in the general election. In case nobody has noticed, Arkansas is a conservativew state. If I were a gambler I'd put money on John Bozman to be the next Senator from Arkansas. And that should frighten everyone.....
